DRYSUIT HIRE POLICY – GO DIVE TASMANIA
Pricing
- Drysuit hire (including boots): $100 per day
- Undersuit hire: $20 per day
- Drysuit + undersuit package: $110 per day
All hire periods are charged per calendar day.
Bond
- A $250 bond is required for all drysuit hires
- The bond will be refunded upon return and inspection of the equipment
- Any damage, loss, or required repairs will be deducted from the bond. Additional charges may apply if costs exceed the bond amount
Eligibility
Drysuit hire is available to divers who meet one of the following:
- Hold a recognised PADI Drysuit Diver certification (or equivalent), or
- Are currently completing a drysuit course with Go Dive Tasmania, or
- Can demonstrate a minimum of 10 logged drysuit dives
Go Dive Tasmania reserves the right to refuse hire if a diver is deemed not suitably experienced to safely use a drysuit.
Usage Conditions
- Drysuits are to be used for recreational diving only
- No seafood collection (including lobster or abalone) is permitted while using hired drysuits
- Equipment must be used appropriately and with care at all times, including during gearing up, entries, exits, and while in the water
Care & Responsibility
The hirer is fully responsible for the condition of the drysuit for the duration of the hire period.
Special care must be taken with:
- Neck and wrist seals
- Zippers
- Valves and inflator connections
- Boots and seams
Any torn or damaged seals will be charged at current market replacement value
Damage to zippers, valves, suit material, or associated components will be assessed and charged accordingly.
Return Conditions
- All equipment must be returned:
- Clean and rinsed
- In the same condition as issued
- Late returns may incur additional hire charges
Liability
Drysuit diving introduces additional risks, including buoyancy and thermal management considerations.
By hiring this equipment, the diver confirms they are:
- Suitably trained or experienced in drysuit use
- Capable of safely operating the equipment
Go Dive Tasmania accepts no liability for misuse of equipment or failure to follow safe diving practices.
General
Go Dive Tasmania reserves the right to refuse hire, cancel hire, or terminate use of equipment at any time if safety, misuse, or breach of these terms is identified.
